Default S4 Jog Wheel Sensor MKI

So I know this topic has been covered plenty of times about the S4 jog wheel not working.

This is what happened to mine:
Just bought it off CL last week (everything was working perfect), but I had to replace the USB connector cause it broke and replace the tact switch for the play button cause it wasn't working well.
Unplugged all the wires, but didn't write any of them down... I got everything right except for 2 of them. Found that out today after I fixed the broken parts. I switched up the black wire set that runs to the headphone jack and the white wire set that goes to the right jog wheel sensor. Before I realized that, I swapped the left and right wheels to see if it would make a difference. The right one worked on the left side, but it was acting really funky. Right side was still nothing with the left wheel it in. Swapped everything back and the left wheel acted like the right wheel when I had the right wheel on left side.

What I'm getting to is that if you accidentally swap the black and white plugs, you're going to fry the sensors on the mini PCB07 board that mounts to the bottom of the jog wheel. From what I'm noting, you need to replace those 2 big black pieces on the board in the OPT03 and OPT05 spots; they are labelled KTIR 0611s.
It looks like you can add a third one to it, but doesn't seem necessary.

I'll update this once I get the pieces in and replace them on the board.

One of the greatest first post I've seen here.

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.
