maybe use a virtual midi port to export the signal to the VJ software. I have no experience with VJ-ing at all, but that is one way to do it if your VJ software accepts a virtual midi port.

Are you running Windows by any chance? Windows doesn't like sharing MIDI devices across multiple applications.

The native mapping communicates via HID (not MIDI) and that will only work in Traktor, your best bet is using an alternative mapping on the MIDI layer and pray Windows will play along, it should work just fine on OS X.

You can't use both mappings at the same time. You have either HID or midi mode. And Traktor just claims the thing if it's connected as its own. I'm using windows and there's no way to send midi signals from an NI device while running Traktor to anything other than Traktor.

If you use it in Midi mode, you can use MidiOx/MidiYoke to "split" the controller into 2 controllers.

What you want to do IS possible - you'll need to split the (midi) signal from the X1 in MidiOx into 2 separate midi outs, then select 1 of those MidiOx Outs as a Midi In for Traktor, and 1 as a midi in for Resolume.

Not sure if you 'll need to change the midi note/cc/channel for each one. I probably would just to be on the safe side.
