    Default DJ Odawa's Setup

Here is my simple setup I currently use at home and for gigs.
    • 2010 White Unibody Macbook 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo
    • OS X Mavericks
    • Traktor Pro 2.7.1
    • Kontrol S2 Mk 1
    • Midi Fighter Spectra
    • KRK Rokit 6's
    • Kontrol X1 Mk 1

I use DJTT Four deck mapping w/ jog effects and my own custom mapping for X1 and Midi Fighter. I use X1 to control effects modules 3 & 4 for all 4 decks as well as High/Mid/Low EQ for decks C & D. I use the Midi Fighter for cue points 1-8 for decks A & B, EQ kills for all 4 decks, VMU meter for all for decks, active effect toggle for all 4 modules/decks, and as a control for Remix Decks. I would much rather have an S4, but this set up has grown on me (especially after spending ages understanding Traktor mapping)

7 years Later I completely upgraded my Home/Mobile DJ setup. I frequently played gigs with a friends so I needed a controller that has dual USB ports instead of having to setup two rigs for a gig. Also needed a controller with a standalone mixer because I would eventually replace my stolen turntables.

    Current Setup
Early 2011 Macbook Pro OSX 10.12
2.0 GHz i7 Quad Core 16GB RAM 250 GB Solid State Drive
    Pioneer DDJ-SZ2
Serato DJ Pro with DVS Expansion
    2x Technics SL-1200 Mk7
    2x DJ Q-Bert Ortofon cartridges
2x Adam Audio T7V studio Monitors
    JBL Nano Patch+
V-Moda LP2 headphones with custom logo etch

How do you like the mk7's compared to mk2's? Any problems with feedback isolation at gigs?

The pitch fader is digital, so it definitely feels different compared to mk2's. I've only had them for a couple weeks now. However, they are similar to the feel of the mk5. I have been using those at gigs as of late and I have not used the mk7's at a public event yet. They feel right at home with the torque at the highest setting via the dip switches under the platter.

Nice! I have a lot of Brasilian House/Samba tunes and Liquid DNB on vinyl.
