Extremely New Producer Seeks Guidance On Jungle and Techno

Hi there, I am a young producer/Dj, and I would probably describe myself as a beat junkie. I have a Kontrol S2 and the Launchpad S at my disposal, and have been making some rudimentary almost Chicago House style tracks in my free time, none of which I've seen fit to publish. Recently, I showed a friend of mine who's a huge drumming enthusiast a Jungle track, and he wanted to know how to make it, because he loved it. I was wondering if this is possible to do with my really basic version of Ableton Live 9 and how I would go about that. I have the version that comes with the launchpad and, while it's a lot of fun to mess around with, hasn't given me a whole lot of options. While I like Jungle, I've always been more of a tech guy and would like some help with making the dark, sort of broody feeling of Tech House and Techno. Any help would be really appreciated.

First off, what version of Ableton 9? It is the Lite version?
