Default Need helps\suggestions to start fingerdrumming

    Hey guys
I want to jump in to this thing but I'm totally new and I need some help:

1- Could you suggest me a good&cheap midi controller?
Is launchpad mini mk2 good? 64 pads, cool backlights, I can find it for like 100€ (probably the cheapest for what i seen) but pads seem really small

2- I'm a logic pro user, should I switch to ableton for finger drumming?

3- Do you have some pro-tips for me?

videos explain what i want to do

    I really like these stuff:

    Thank you so much

I personally think your best option is something like M-Audio's original Trigger Finger or something from Akai's MPD lineup. One of these may even include a copy of Ableton Live Lite, I'm not sure though. I used to have an MPD16 and I'm pretty sure it came with Live Lite. At the same time though, you don't need Ableton to get into finger drumming. I'm quite sure there are a number of ways to set something up in Logic, including the built-in EXS sampler. If not that, there's probably a free AU plugin somewhere that will do the trick. The controllers I mentioned can be found cheap on eBay regularly. I too think the pads on the Launchpad would be too small and 16 should be plenty to get you started.

    Thank for the answer.
I did a quick search and i can find the trigger finger for 75€ and the launchpad S for 90€ (both used).
What about the Behringer CMD Touch TC64? Can't find any review

MPD is the way to go, mate. Any of 'em are great for finger drumming + more.

Someone that is using the launchpad mini could tell me how much the small pads are usable?
Also, I can't really get the differences between launchpad and launchpad S

I wouldn't use a LP for finger drumming.

You can get a second hand MPD for the same money as a LP.
