Default Mapping to Performance Fader in Traktor

Hey there, really hoping someone can help me out, a bit baffled here. So my S8 started having a weird issue where one of the performance faders I use for the remix\stems deck will transmit touch signals (I can see a pop up menu appear on the S8 screen when I touch the fader and see a the blue light flash in traktor when I touch and release the fader) but will absolutely not send any signal when raised or lowered. As a result that stem part or remix slot is always on full volume so I've had to use the mouse to alter it. I have opened a case with NI but really hope someone can help me in the mapping area.

I have a Midi Fighter Twister plugged in beside the S8. It's functioning and connected to the computer fine. I go to Controller Manager and can both add it, see it respond in learn and map it to something like Dry\Wet on FX and see it immediately respond. Here's the thing, I cannot for the life of me find any parameter in Controller Manager that related to the performance faders, has anyone ever tried to map to one of those? If it's any additional help it's specifically fader 2 on Deck A\C, so the one that would control the bass part of a stem.

Really really appreciate any help from a midi master.

If there is no signal from the fader then MIDI can't make a way trough and trigger a command in the mapping. Not much we can do about it.. I don't have an S8 (jet) to check the editor, but you could take a look and see if there is some lever to disable the faders or buttons.

(Every controller that's armed with touch sensitive knobs should have this option imo)

This will allow to customize default mapping but should you need a hardware response at first?

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply guys. I think I must have been articulating the problem wrong, the issue with midi sending was (and still is) from the second fader. The link sent seems to be from an article about using the performance controls to map midi out to external devices (which obviously as that fader won't send to Traktor Im sure it won't send to anything), what I was trying to do was map something (Twister in this case) in to that control.

Found this article, don't know how I missed it first time. The confusion is that in Controller Manager when you go through the available controls the Perforance controls are now all nested under the utterly unintuitive 'Submit' category, and you only get one item for each control (where theres 8 sliders, knobs and buttons across both decks). So you have to pick the control (in my case Slot Volume Adjust) and then set the assignment to the Deck and Slot you want (in my case Deck C slot 2) and presto, I now have a way of controlling what that dead fader should be doing.
