    Default S8 with foot pedal?

    Hi all,
I just got an S8, I start liking it. I'm wondering if i can use my Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal with it for effects.
I'd like to use it to control the parameter of my reverb that's in FX unit 1, knob2.
How do I connect it to the S8 (midi in? jack to midi converter?) How to map it?
    Thx for the help!

If it sends a midi signal, you use a jack to usb converter , plug it on your computer, create a new midi device within traktor and map it to your liking. That said I never used a jack to usb converter so I don't have a clue if the midi signal would be transferred through the converter (once again if there's a midi signal coming out your model).

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.

You would need something to convert the output of the pedal, probably a variable voltage into midi. This could be done with a custom built (think teensy / Arduino) or a ready made device like this http://www.midisolutions.com/prodped.htm
