Audio interface hardware advice
I recently downloaded demos for Traktor, Serato and Ableton to test prior to making decision on the direction I want to go in for DJing using a laptop. (Can't test Serato as I don't have a controller yet).
I want to use my existing 5 channel mixer (Rodec MX2200), 2x turntables and might be good to have option of using my CDJ100s though can't remember last time I've used a CD.
I've been using algoriddims DJay 2 app almost exclusively using 2x iOS devices also hooked up to my mixer. So I'm improving this setup following a recent laptop purchase.
I'm leaning towards Traktor for regular DJing, looping, effects, might play with stems.
Is it possible to route my vinyl turntables back into traktor (or ableton) so I can apply the same effects to my vinyl? Not too fussed about the CDJs.
Would the NI A10 Mk 2 be the best audio interface?
I can probably choose a controller - Two X1s or D2 is looking like a good option.
Any reason to not go for Traktor? Beat grid seems ok - still couldn't get it perfectly synced with the metronome. But it would be fine with a controller.
Ideally would like to keep options open to keep playing with Ableton as there are a lot of buttons to play with!
