Default Cross fader not working on a behringer ddm4000

I have a behringer ddm 4000 mixer that I bought from zzzsounds and it's a warehouse resealable which means it's lightly used. I'm using the Denon ds1 interface and 2 stanton str8-150 on serato dj. So when I have this mixer on the channel faders / volume up and down work for each channel but the cross fader doesn't work. I wonder if it's a setting on the mixer since it's loaded with settings or if it's a setting in serato? Any ideas ? I'm pretty new to both and I don't see a setting so am out of ideas. I do run a numark m2 mixed and that works fine so it's not the ds1, please help.

If CF button is On, and your decks are assigned to CF, might be faulty equipment. Behringer doesn't exactly have the best name in any industry

Yeah I see about the reputation but if you look at the rep on that ddm-4000 it's surprisingly has good reviews. I started an RMA with Zzsounds and I'm sending it in though, I've spent too much time trying to get this workings. I asked them if it was tested since it was used, they obviously said yes but I think I was the test, lol. I'm using a cheap numark m2 for now , it does the job I guess. If anyone can come up with any other ideas , let me know. I really would like to keep this thing but it's gotta work.

Have you assigned all 4 channels to a side of the crossfader (A/B) using the CF Assign Toggle Button on each channel?
