    Hi there,

I am a total beginner, and I really need some advice on what controller would be the best for traktor?

I have been looking at the numark stealth but the only thing is it doesn't have a built in sound card. Would you recommend this?

Or does anyone else have any ideas? I am looking to spend up to about £250 hopefully something with a sound card but if not that's fine..

Advice would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea ..

    Thanks Sarah.

u should get urself a behringer bcd3000...i had some good expierences with it and it was cheap...it thing in the beginning cheap is always the best way to go...by the way ur name made me fu***in lol.#

ps: if the bcd3000 sucks in ur eyes u could always go with the hercules dj control rmx

    +1 on the bcd3k

started with that controller as well and it's quite good to figure out if digital djing is something for you..

    Hey...

I agree with earl-panda, behringer is always an awesome first choice...

however, the sound card will be an added price to the controller, and I think its something that if you will buy separately, you will need at least decent quality...if you go this route I recommend a good soundcard off the bat so if you upgrade you will only need to do so with the controller.

I was in your situation about 6 months ago, but I chose the RMX and so far I have no regrets...its a great controller, and with a decent soundcard included...which gives me the possibility to stick with it for a while before upgrading it

    hope this helps

oh, and yeah...your name is AMAZING lol

the bcd3000 has a built-in audio interface, with a mic in..

    So true, my apologies

however, IMHO, the berhinger's contstruction does not look as solid as the RMX

So I guess it's a matter of taste!

LoLz, if you're aiming in cheap, go for a Behringer BCR2000 and a Native Instruments Audio2DJ soundcard.

Seperating the Audio Interface from the controller is prefered by some, as that if one has broken, you will still be able to use the other.
On the other hand, MIDIcontroller with internal soundcard saves you some room.

Another tip that can save you much wasted money.

    - Think of how you want to operate your music.
    - Think about if and how you want to use jogs/faders/knobs/buttons.
    - Than draw an imaginary controller for yourself.

Compare this drawing to MIDI controllers already available, you'd be amazed with what controller you'd come up with.

All I have to do is play music, and make sure it is fist pumpin material.
