Twister: one knob changes color on just one Ableton project

For some reason when I open one particular Ableton project, knob #7 (2nd row, far right) on my Twister changes from its normally programmed blue to bright red. it doesn't matter if anything is assigned to that knob or not.

Briefly when this could occur, it would silence a track it was not assigned to, until I pressed the knob down, and then the channel was audible and the color changed back to green. After several power cycles and reboots it went to the behavior above.

I'm only using one bank, I see there are some unresolved bugs around that.
