Default MFTwister one knob replacable ? Sends 3FH/41H mode mixed messages

My very first MFT has (only) one of its knobs sending a mix of 3Fh and 41h values in 3FH/41H mode. I turn it left, it mixes in the odd 41h with what should be 3Fh values. Same with turning right, so the knob is busted.

It's waaaay past any warranty. Any replacement parts available anywhere ? Or can you recommend a replacement part to use ?

In the meantime this isn't completely horrifying or anything. My primary use for this controller is for an equalizer filter frequency, and I have some knobs left to take over that function. No biggy. I'll probably buy more units anyway at some point. Sure hope they keep getting made.

ALPS EC11EH224403 is what we use on these, might be a bit hard to source but one with equivalent specs should do the trick too. Did you try some contact cleaner on it already? Resoldering it might also help in some cases.

I'll give all that a try, cleaning, soldiering, replacing. Thanks for the tips and letting me know what part it is.

Looks like I've located a replacement with similar specs, assuming the travel of the knob pushes is 0.5 mm and not 1.5mm. Just not sure about the size 100%.

It's available for about 3-5 Euros in Germany. So things are looking good if the cleaning and resoldering doesn't work out. Mouser has them in stock in Germany.

That said, I am a beginner at taking things apart. Do I need to remove the rubber feet to get the unit opened up ?
