Default How to reinvent myself in the DJ market? Looking for some ideas.

Hi so I am a Latin style DJ with 10 years of experience spinning Salsa, reggaeton, bachata, merengue, cumbia, and even Banda, Corridos, etc...

I live in Las Vegas and lately I been having trouble securing some DJ residencies/gigs. I done the whole sending/emailing/messaging promoters/clubs/bars my soundcloud mix, video mix, videos of previous partys I done, and for the most part it gets ignored or I don't get any replies/call backs. I gone to some venue's I inform the promoters/managers I am a DJ and give my business cards. They mostly already have DJ's (that beat me to that punch) and its been dead ends as well. I done also going on FB/IG and posting live streams/parties I done and you can see in the parties I done I have the crowds happy/dancing but my videos sometimes lack numbers in "likes" or interest in general. I feel like im doing something wrong or not making the proper moves to "Get my foot in the door". I also dealt with venue's who do not promote (radio/fb ads, etc) and seem like they depend on the DJ to do everything and I do make my own flyers and post all over the place. My friends can't make every gig, they have families, responsibilities, etc.

So if anybody has new ideas or any advice Im willing to listen with a open mind. (Asking all this for friend lol)

Some dj:s have good luck to get gigs often. They may know the right people in the clubs. But if you are persistent and not giving up and do your own thing you will succeed, sooner or later. Good luck bro!
