Tell me this, is Fidget House similar to what Zinc is calling Crack House?
I’m just getting back into mixing after taking off for about 8 years. Previously, I had played from the UK Hardcore days right into Jungle/DnB ending in early 2001.
I am quite confused with all the new genres that have developed.
The whole fidget/ghetto/wonk house thing is all just the same thing. As for ‘crack house’ according to this article I found it’s Zinc trying to make it easier for his fans to accept his new music by making a new genre for it.
Fidget house as far as I’m aware was a term created by Switch when he first started producing this kind of music as no one else had before, and therefore there was no genre for it to fit into.
‘Fidget House’ was a it of a joke to start with as a term, but now it’s ironically firmly established.
