4 Deck Setup Traktor Pro 2.5 + Kontrol F1 + audio 8?
Hello Guys,
I’m sure this is prob. a noob question, however i wanted to get my 4 channel set up going since i am getting my F1 next week.
My set up:
Windows 7
Traktor 2.5
DJM-600 Mixer
CDJ 400 - Deck A
CDJ 400 - Deck B
Kontrol X1 - Global
Kontrol F1 - Deck D
obviously i want to have an independent channel for the F1. i use my x1 as samples as well but the A/B volume fader has to be up so i get sound… doesn’t work for all transitions
My Question: do i need an extra sound card, or with what i have i can route it somehow to work?
If you want to use the mixer and all 4 decks, you’ll need an external soundcard since the DJM-600 doesn’t have a USB soundcard. Look for an Audio 10 while they’re still for sale without the whole Scratch package!
i also have a behringher DDM-4000 which has a built in sound card… can i work with that. i am getting my kontrol F1 soon and i am going to need my 4 channels.
If you plug your CDJs into that, and get a simple 2 channel audio interface for traktor you could set up CDJ A/B to mixer chanels 1/2, and traktor on 3/4.
Or you could plug everything into your djm 600 4 channel mixer too.
Update: so that is what i did, i went to my local sam-ash and bought the Audio 2 DJ and i will receive it Friday along with my F1 i will then trouble shoot and post the outcome here…
The Audio 2 will work. You’ll have to plug your CDJ’s into the mixer and use them as just regular CDJ’s with no timecode. Then you’ll route the two Traktor decks to the A2 and go out of it into the channels on the mixer. You won’t be able to record in traktor, but the 600 has a record out so you can use it.
The 400 CDJs will use as a HID Support Mode on Decks A and B - Channels 1 and 2 on the Mixer and the AUDIO 2 will use with Decks C and D - channels 3 and 4 on the Mixer, is it possible without AUDIO 10 and only CDJs 400 and AUDIO 2.
