I have been using the Vestax 600 with launchpad for triggering my clips for about 1 year now and pretty happy. The controllers remapped to my weird world pretty much do anything I need it to do. Love the multiple channel control. If you can really find it at that price Id jump on it.
I would go for the option APC40 & BCR2000.

I just don’t see the need of it (The sheer size and amount of buttons of an APC 80). Well not so much the need, but I don’t see how one would need that much direct clip launching control over using the shifting functions.
Instead of just scoffing, talking about how you would do things differently is always a better suggestion.

Been messing with my music library all weekend. Warping tracks from ground zero is absolutely driving me insane. But I imagine it’d be the same with setting up beatgrid’s in Traktor.
Second guessing myself now on if I should dump about a grand on Ableton controllers, or just get the S4.
Deciding between the two is a terrible problem, and I’m bad at making big money investment calls when I don’t know it’s reliable (which option I’d enjoy more).
i find beatgrids to be much faster with TP2
go to first beat zoom all the way in and set then go to the ending beats and if they’re off then it usually happened after the breakdown but then again Im gridding trance.

My honest opinion is traktor is more “Fun” if ya wanna play and feel like you regularly play and feel
Ableton gives you more toys and the option to call every gig a “Live Set” 
.. that ain’t always a good thing mind you.

In seriousness though Traktors analysis Just works everytime for me, minor changes but thats what bend is there for right 
.. think I needed to beatgrid like 3 tracks in as many years.
Get the vcm600 and a launchpad… best of both worlds
