ableton live intro
I just picked up ableton live intro and was wondering if there was any other way to sample songs with a midi controller without using drum racks since you aren’t able to create your own.

What–exactly–are you trying to do?
Sampler exists.
You could just create multiple clips and shorten them (with the start/stop settings) as necessary. And you could loop them more or less however you want.
You could use a wav editor (like Audacity) to trim down to the parts you want.
And–as said above–you can load short samples into simpler and play them like drum samples. It all depends on what you want to do and how you want to be able to interact with what you have.
Yesterday I saw this movie witch I found very useful
my main objective is to be able to play the samples on my mpd and create beats. i just want to know what the best possible way to do that without creating drum racks which i cant do anyways due to intro’s limitations
