Akai AMX Loop Lenght

Hi! I just bought the AKAI amx to use with serato.
I think it works okay but to things that I think is strange.
Maybe I am doing something wrong

  1. How to set loop length to 4,8,16
  2. how to fast forward into a song

Anyone know something about this?

i could be wrong but you might need the akai afx for all that, or at least a secondary controller mapped to those functions, for an example i have my twister mapped to activate different sized loops on pressing an encoder down and if i need to resize it i have an encoder mapped for that as well, and as far as fast forwarding, im not sure how you would do that, the afx has a touch strip to pin point a location in a song though , or if you have a touch screen you could do it that way

:edit, if you select the midi learn function there is a per deck fast forward button that can be mapped

Indeed I am - your base work is amazing!
I’m going to contribute a clear manual that extends on your own, a list of midi messages, and a list of modifiers (that I reversed-engineered)

for now I’m making:

  • pictures of the new functions and shifts (same as you presented your v0.2.0)
  • a word document with the explanation of all features and internal variables
  • an excel table with all the midi messages
