Akai LPD8 + Ableton
Hi guys !
I want to use my Akai LPD8 with Ableton Live 8.2.6 but I don’t really know how to set up it.. I would like to do thing like that :
I’ve seen that I need to load preset and mapping but where do I find it ?

most of the Akai stuff is natively mapped to AL8, but in some cases you will need to map it in AL* (which is dead easy for the knobs) the pads can be a lil trickier as you will need the Akai Editor to change note values on you LPD to match the notes in the drum rack ( which again is pretty easy) but youll only have 8 pads mapped instead of 16. However if you get an APC 20 you can use note mode which simulates the 18 pads in the drum rack. or look for a midi fighter or another midi controller with a standard 16 pad set up
