Hey guys,
I’m new here so I’ll try not to be too noobish.
I’ve looked over the search and can’t find anything that relates to my problem so here goes:
I recently got an akai mpk mini and use it with ableton. I’ve found that the middle E key doesn’t work. Would you reckon it was some kind of programming error or hardware?
It sounds like a hardware problem more than anything else, but give it a go inside another piece of software (Traktor?)
If the key works elsewhere, then it’s probably something between the MPK and Ableton, but if it’s universally broken, then there’s a good chance it’s a hardware problem.
Try having it RMAed, or if you’re really frisky with hardware and electronics, opening it up and fixing it yourself
Yeah…just exchange it for a new one and let the shop deal with getting a replacement if you can. If not, I’m sure Akai has a warranty of some kind…look that up.
I have a keyboard that has an Eb that just doesn’t work. If it weren’t old and basically given to me, I’d have done the same thing.
Hey,
Thanks for the replies guys. I’ve tried it with FL Studio, and the velocity meter in the top left doesn’t register anything. I hope that I’ll be able to exchange for another one, seeing as this is an international eBay transaction.
