Allen & Heath Xone 42 connects to Traktor without seperate audio interface?
On the description it says:
Does this mean I can plug the Xone 42 straight into my mac without a A6 to control Traktor. I dont want to use the mixer for DVS. If this is not possible then is there a mixer that has a built in USB interface which I can run Traktor off of (under £400)
No, the USB connection is designed to be used as a send/return loop and only carries 1 stereo channel each way.

no i sold that recently when I moved house, just looking for something smaller and cheaper. I wanted to have a setup similar to Richie Hawtin but on a budget

Pretty much any audio interface can be used with Traktor if you’re not using timecode.
oh ok thats helped alot. I think ill go with a cheaper mixer and add two x1’s to it or i could go for the xone k2 and dont bother about a audio interface?
A K2 will give you enough outputs for 2 mixer channels, so you’ll need to aggregate it with another K2 or other sound card that has 2 stereo outputs to fill up all the mixer channels.
Maybe the Zomo MC 1000 Unit is something for you. Together with any 4 Channel Mixer.
