anybody hear the equator d5 speakers?

Never heard of Equator to be honest, and that would make me a bit nervous if I was thinking of buying them
No, but I would like to. I thought about picking up a pair a few months ago just to see.
I heard some great things from the threads on gearslutz about them. Apparently some people had problems with the early batches though- some people say they sound great and sound like an $900-$1000 pair of monitors, some people don’t seem to think so.
In any case I’m not sure if they are suitable for producing electronic music without a sub as a main monitor from what I read about their bass being that they are 5" monitors. Although some people ay the low end is pretty adequate/good for the size. They should really make an 8" D8 and price them at $499 direct a pair and make a sub to go with them.

Search ‘equator d5’ on gearslutz there are a lot of people who have bought them and give some pretty good feedback, you can’t really go wrong for the price.
i see they offer money back policy
if you want to take the risk do it and let me know how they are..i was going to scoop them up due to gearlsutz reviews but my friends said he had they and hated them

At some point way down the line I may want a second set of cheap monitors and was thinking either these or HS50s.
