Anyone has the S4 Manual (English / PDF)?

I’ve searched throughout the forum, checked my account at NI, searched their whole website and googled on many variations, but I cannot find the S4 (controller and/or software) manual anywhere.

I assume it is not illegal to share a manual? But I cannot find it. Can someone send me (or upload it here?) a PDF manual in English?

I would be very pleased if that’s possible :stuck_out_tongue:

(EDIT: By the way, I don’t have the software!! This question is not because I downloaded it illegally, I just want insights on the functionality of the software & controller)

It is illegal unless the manufacturer allows it. Unfortunately, my understanding is that NI doesn’t want to provide non-owners of the S4 with access.

A legit way of obtaining the TP/TSP manual is to download and install the demo version.

That’s weird, I regularly use manuals to see whether the product fits my needs before buying it eventually…

Thanks for your reply though! I didn’t know there was a demo, it’s fine with me to install that one (if I can find it…)

^^^ to clarify: there’s a demo of TP/TSP, but afaik there’s no S4 demo.

Maybe I should refrase my question then, anyone in here who has S4 and the cd with the manual? I have a question for you (will send it via pm) about something that is in that manual… :roll_eyes:

Yeah, I would like to have a look at the manual for the S4 as well if someone has it in digital format :slight_smile:

You can not share the manual online. If you ask the question we can probably answer it.

Nevermind then, I wanted to check various sample deck functions and maybe see other new stuff that the S4 offers… For now I want to create comparable functionality in Traktor Pro (as sample decks can be ‘simulated’ by using additional decks and functionality like looping and sampling fx). Therefore I wanted to go through the whole manual and be able to create an awesome APC80 (APC40 + APC20) mapping…

I’ll guess I have to check some youtube movies instead..:rage:
