Easily done with Ableton. Also easily done with Traktor. :u
+1… u can emulate virtual faders on a launchpad using my own midimasher or midikatapult for traktor in the same way that automap+ableton do it.
i much prefer to have actual pots+faders as a mixer - but in a pinch i could do everything i needed in a few launchpad pages/layers. even a nanokontrol or lpd8 are fine to add in some rotary goodness ofc…

would be my choice for using traktor

or this with nonome for a standalone solution
looks nice but uses max/msp i guess? not cheap software…
The runtime that comes with the trial is free and doesn’t expire!
cool… i’ve kept meaning to have a look at the nonome stuff. will have to give it a try.
there again i can do any/all i need with my own midimasher and i wouldn’t want even more software sitting between traktor and the launchpad. would be like me still using DaRouter with my scs.3d when using midimasher as well ![]()
Is the latest version of your midimasher out? The one with the extra LP stuff?
not with a launchpad specific config yet no - i’m aiming to do it over the weekend. if you mean the one with twitch style controls and multi layers etc.
it has supported the launchpad right from the start, there’s a devices/launchpad.lua file that defines what midi is sent/recv by the launchpad for all the buttons.
but if u want a config that works out of the box you’ll need to wait a few days. btw i’ll only be updating the thread in my sig, so some people see it but not too many, so i don’t get asked the same issues over and over in case of problems ![]()
when i’m 100% happy with it i’ll also create a new thread ofc.
Do a search for Octop4d by S4racen
you can use a lp as a standalone but it really shines next to a mixer ![]()
