I’ve been using a standalone synth for a while now, and since I’m trying to not live in the stone-age and get more into the whole MIDI thing (I bought a Nano Pad two weeks ago), I think it’s time I bought a MIDI keyboard.
Now I understand this is more of a forum for DJ’s, but there’s gotta be people here who have some experience with this. I’m trying to spend under $300… any suggestions?
the pads are like every other m-audio pad. pretty solid, sometimes feel a little squishy, sometimes feel a little too stiff. just depends on your technique.
and the keys are AMAZING. perfect semi-weighted. love em.
I think the Axiom is a better all around keyboard, especially for the producer or keyboardest. (I’m gonna get a 61 coming up here soon) but the remotes are really solid controllerism boards.
The only thing is that the Remote 49 key I wouldn’t recommend. The Remote 37, though is where it’s at for me. Or the 61 key, but that is pricey. shrug
Personally I like the joystick and the touchpad. Lends itself very well toward what we need for more advanced controllerism, if that’s what you’re going for shrug
I probably will go with the Axiom 25, just because I like the knobs. No but really the knobs are a definite plus. I’m still trying to figure out midi, so all the knobs and pads add to the learning (yay for education ). Plus the semi-weighted keys don’t hurt either.
