Apogee Duet wire switch
Hi guys!
I have an Apogee Duet USB. My laptop supports it but not completely I guess. Every time I plug it my Logic projects slow down or, even worst, get to the CPU limit.
Do you know if I can replace the USB cable with the FireWire one? Do you think it could help my laptop?

Do you have the latest version of Maestro installed? What are your sample rate and latency settings? This is the most important thing.
No, you absolutely cannot use FireWire instead, and it absolutely would not help. Apogee has been getting better results over USB, so all versions of the Duet after the original use USB only.
