Are there any other DJ Forums…
worth reading. I tried reading DJ Forums and stumbled over a thread bashing DJTT’s article about comparing Serato and Traktor. Sounded like they were a bunch of jaded DJs that had nothing better to do. 
Is there any other place where they keep the Serato vs Traktor sh*t on the DL? It would be nice if there was another place that was informative and friendly and not so one sided like NI Forums or Serato Forums.
you could look for forums geared towards the music you play, i find on those that there’s alot less shit thrown around about equipment and people focus on the more important stuff, i.e mixing and the music. however you still get idiots…
I spend a decent amount time on the Virtual DJ forums. Otherwise I found that most dj forums other than this one hate on me because I use VDJ.

All product forums are the same. You can expect the members to get defensive about their product of choice especially when someone deliberately has a pop at the product.
Thats why DJTTs is so peaceful cus they dont have a product to defend (despite what some might say) so theres nothing to attack.
It makes a huge difference.
I could see people getting heated over a certain track if it’s genre “is not labeled correctly”. But I’ll give a shot. Any recommendations?

I don’t post on it, but often read the threads at Erol Alkan - Artists – Phantasy
They have a lot of people who seem to know a lot about EDM. Constant posts about new EP’s, albums etc from various genres and artists. Plus stuff about festivals/nights too. There are bits and pieces about actual DJ’ing, I think it’s more about the music though.
DJF is actually a pretty cool place, and that thread ended up not being so much about that. I don’t remember anything in it bashing DJTT unless you consider that it mentioned that DJTT is biased toward NI/Traktor, which appears true based on the articles I’ve read as well as the people on the forum.
I generally read http://www.djforums.com and http://www.dubstepforum.com/ in addition to this one.
DJforums.com has a huge scope of readers, so of course you’re going to get the “anti-sync” attitude with a chunk of the crowd. Honestly though? I really like the forum. It’s really helpful in learning a lot of different aspects and most of the guys there are helpful. Takes some digging around, but people from all aspects of DJing are good with answering questions and chatting it up.
Dubstepforum… well I am not a big fan of the layout honestly. I usually go on there to try and find new tunes. There’s a huge bunch of “old schoolers” on there that aren’t into the Excision style wobble bass, and so there’s drama with that. I don’t post there often, but it’s nice to find some good tunes. The layout is like 10 years out of date though, and so that bothers me on some level.
Sometimes I’ll check through the NI, Serato or Pioneer forums as well, but since they aren’t really specific to my needs at the moment, I usually only go there when I’m trying to answer a question/searching for something specific.
user base is mainly traktor, nothing more to it than that, also the vci100 se is based on tpro, mainly because you can’t remap serato
No, that’s legit. And notice that I didn’t say there was a problem with it. It’s less weird seeing someone on here that uses someone else than the people on ALDJ forums that use SSL or Traktor…makes me wonder why they’re there instead of on the general ableton forums…
I don’t even use Traktor anymore so i dont know how much of that is totally true
Hell… one of the guys working for us uses Serato and another uses VDJ
Best way to get rid of the perception that we are “Tracktor biased” is actually for users to get on board and help write articles for other pieces of software which are highly welcomed 
EDIT: I wrote this post before having my dinner but didnt get round to posting until now (3 hours later, it was a big dinner).
Id say ‘biased’ is the wrong word. I think its ‘weighted’ more towards Traktor simply because more members use Traktor.
I know thats kinda nit-picking but the whole DJTTs & NI thing is getting a little out of hand (im not saying that to you are intimating this in your post).
Rant:
As soon as theres a Traktor article on the blog there are always posts that accuse Ean/DJTTs of bias and being in the employ of NI or on the payroll.
If you try to defend DJTTs your accused of being the same (or at least i am cus i work for NI). It seems that there is nothing that can be said and no justification given that some people will accept. Its a conspiracy and that is that… Well im sick if hearing it.
I know that DJTTs has broad enough shoulders to carry this crap but it still doesnt make it any less perplexing when people claim they are benefiting financially from posting articles like the Craze vid (which incidently i posted on this forum before the blog article cus id seen it on YouTube) which is just an example of good blogging.
Ean posted the Craze video because its awesome, no other reason. He also got the scoop interview. Thats what i call good blogging.
You know NI didnt even post it in their own forum… I did it for the same reason I posted it here, cus its good and people should see it.
As for a Traktor bias. As a Traktor user myself id love to see similar video made with Serato SSL or Itch or Ableton or any DJ software. Hell, if its awesome its awesome, i couldnt care less about the software.
You just know that when the Bridge finally comes out (provding we arent all living on Mars by then) there will be a slew of DJ Promo vids and i for one look forward to them and expect them to be posted and written about at length on DJTTs. I also expect the usual haters but i doubt anyones gonna say “im tired of all the Serato videos wheres the Traktor vids”. For some reason the Serato/Traktor relationship doesnt work like that.
Half the Mods and some of the DJTTs staff dont even use Traktor.
As an Ableton user I totally respect BentoSans ability to keep cool when the doubters post rubbish about DJTTs & Traktor this and Traktor that… its not all about fucking Traktor.
If all you see when you come on DJTTs is Traktor then your not looking hard enough or that is all you wanna see.
Its about time people got off DJTTs back when it comes to what goes in the blog and whether its Traktor-Centric.
If your software isnt represented enough do something about it. Make a video or press the company to get one of their many many many Sponsored lazy ass djs to make one.
