It was supporting Swedish House Mafia. Jacques Lu Cont played too. I’m not a massive SHM fan but A-Trak and JLC in one night would have been amazing, I’d have killed to be there.
Erick Morillo was there too… in the audience. Can you imagine listening to JLC and A-Trak while standing next to Morillo discussing the show.
been following that thread on the SSL boards, looks like alot of cats are pissed cause he’s using traktor. i guess what adds to this is that Serato Pressings just released Fools Gold timecodes and then this comes about, not to mention he’s been on SSL since the get go.
all about the benjamins by the looks of things
a-trak has always been one of the most creative djs of all time. he was dmc champion at 15, how many of us were even djing at that age?
why is it such a surprise that one of the most forward looking djs is using one of the most forward looking softwares ![]()
because he loves getting paid?
Re: Atrak switches to Traktor
All about the duck sauce.
Atrak switches to Traktor
Honestly these guys (craze, shifty, a trak) could Dj on anything. They did it on vinyl, so everything else is just gravy on top. At the end of the day - this probably is about the money and a small portion may be some features a trak liked about traktor.
Serato vs traktor is such a bullshit argument. While each have features the other doesn’t, at the end of the day, these guys aren’t staring at the screen, they’re concentrating on manipulating the music and using their ears just like in their DMC days on vinyl. The core functions of traktor and Serato are exactly the same and there are great djs spinning on both. I haven’t read the Serato thread but I’m sure it’s dumb.
So what happens when a gig has multiple DJs but half use Serato and half use Traktor?
Just some food for thought…
swap rca’s? put in 2 setups?
Just a picture extracted from the video to know the men’s setup:
Hes using the colorful waveform (same as me)
Two track decks and two sample decks
Only two effect slots maybe due the x1 standard map, or maybe because the man does his own effects on turntables (wich is sick by the way)
edit:
Also the x1 is on the hotcue mode, four cues on track two and one cue at track one.
I’m wondering how he launches the samples if the x1 mapping is the standard mapping for effects…
I love how everyone thinks the switch is due to money…I doubt that’s the case.
