Atrak switches to Traktor

Atrak switches to Traktor

Theres a hot thread up in the serato forum about Atrak switching from Serato to Traktor.

Thought some peeps here would be interested. Looks like NI’s marketing dept is on a roll scoring another high profile dj!

I wonder when we will see a new promo video? I’ve heard rumors of new features being tied to the new timecode… wouldn’t be surprised to see this revealed with a Atrak clip!

Anyhow… any thoughts on Atrak switching?

Both do the same thing just so happens Traktor has funny FX !!! :stuck_out_tongue: omg

if he said i switched to Torq would have surprised me lol

I’m sure atrak could rock on anything! It’s not the software that’s making him fresh.

But i’m surprised Serato isnt trying to hold on to they’re high profile users.

Would love to see a promo clip with A-Trak, he’s got to be one of my top 5 DJs.

maybe he just likes Traktor better…

to each their own…i don’t really look at what people use…if he walked out with a washboard and banjo and rocked it…it wouldnt matter to me…

i also love how everyone said “there’s money involved”…maybe…maybe not…we don’t know…

A-Trak, more like A-Traktor… amirite? :sunglasses:

Interesting but I’m not that surprised, I’ve seen him live and always thought his style would benefit greatly from Traktor’s layout.

Read it all, some nice arguments are made.

you’re alright

Ha! I’ve been lurking over there on Seratos forums for a while now and I’ve been following that thread as well. There’s some ignorant comments over there for sure.
From my own personal expeirence, it does indeed matter what big name DJs use but really only towards newbies to the DVS market. It’s kinda what swayed me into getting Traktor Scratch a few years back. As a newbie to the digital format back then, and somewhat to djing (I had about two years expirence on cdj’s), I couldn’t help but notice that a lot of my favorite djs at the time were on Traktor. That ultimately helped me make up my mind even though local buddies and sales guys were telling me to get Serato.

This is why celebrities get paid to endorse things

tbh, I can use Serato and Traktor equally badly :stuck_out_tongue:

I did get sick of being the only bloke round here using Traktor (as used to be the case) hence having both bits of kit …

I think the smartest move NI made was making the Serato to Traktor converter tool. In my opinion, Traktor is superior in features and i’ve always preferred the layout of it over Serato. Again it’s definitely not the tool it’s how you use it, but this is no doubt a huge hit against Serato. I’ve always admired A-Trak and if I was swayed before by NI promo video’s this would sway me even further. I’d love to see what a guy like A-Trak could do to show Traktor off.

I wonder if Serato is all :disappointed: after losing one of their first beta testers.

And the video is out…

Not an NI video but still a step further with going public with Traktor. Does Serato actually endorse artists? It’s a bit more clear with NI since there is consistency in who appears in there videos but it seems like Serato has interviews and the odd performance video with numerous major artists.

So I guess what I’m asking is if A-trak was officially endorsed by them?

um.. should I know who Atrack is???

lol

so it looks like he even had an x1 with him… I think traktor is a good match with the way he plays.

Christ - that A-Trak gig looks like a monster night…
