I just bought a NI Audio 4 DJ soundcard. I used to use a Maya 44 USB soundcard, and it was great until I started playing in bigger clubs. I needed an upgrade, and I love NI.
But when I hooked it up and set up the 2.0.13 drivers for Windows, I got crackles all the time when using Traktor Pro. I used to get 5.5ms latency with no problems with my Maya, but even at 50ms I was getting bad sound with the Audio 4 DJ! After freaking out about how to order better cables to South Korea in time for next Saturday, I tried the ASIO4ALL drivers, and they work perfectly. Problem solved.
I would prefer to use NI drivers though. Does anybody know what the problem could be? I’ve tried replacement cables (not great, but with ferrite attachments). Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah a lot of people have said that on the forum. Strange that it makes such a difference, and that is so different between the two drivers too! Do you play out with it on Windows? Are the ASIO4ALL drivers to be trusted?
And now ALL LED based distortion issues have been resolved.
I can now run my Audio 2, and Audio 8, with two decks of internal or external playback, at 1ms USB/ 2ms Audio latency as per the ASIO driver, calculated to 6.5ms total overall latency by TSP2, with NO distortion, with key-lock, 3 separate controllers covered in LED’s, and massive effect/LED feedback spamming.
I call that 10 out of 10.
New software, more features, runs more efficiently as well.
