Okay, so you may have seen my thread with me getting free shit and my dad using my Audio8, mixer apc etc for his home studio.
Now, there is 4 inputs on the audio 8 right? so i could have bass, guitar mix and drums connected via phono and the mix via the XLR port. now i dont know much aobut how all this works, but im guessing you will plug everything into the “in” ports, will anything go to the out ports?
Now to seperate the channels, i dont know how to >.< ableton will only let me select 1/2 (channel A) and if i go to inputs on the settings, again it will only let me choose one at a time,
you can have up to 8 (mono) instruments plugged in or 7+mic.
regarding outputs, you need to create return channels and assign one to each, routing each channel accordingly with the send controls at 100%. Remember the master channel won’t be used as the outs are coming from the return channels. Make sure you activate all the inputs and outputs pairs in Live’s preferences.
Track 1 (In 1/2): Send A 100%
Track 2 (In 3/4): Send B 100%
Track 3 (In 5/6) XLR Mic: Send C 100%
Track 4 (In 7/8): Send D 100%
Return A: Out 1/2
Return B: Out 3/4
Return C: Out 5/6
Return D: Out 7/8
