audio8, mic input and no external mixer??

mate asked me a strange question that i didnt have the answer for but i knew someone on here would.

He’s using internal mixing mode, an audio8 hooked straight up to an amp and he wants to be able to use a mic but he cant seem to get it working. He’s switched the setting on the audio8 from line to mic, but still no sound coming out.

anyone any idea’s??

Hm, I think he’d have to use one of the 4 decks as an audio through.

Yeah you have to configure the input in software, whether it’s through Traktor as described above or in some other program like Sound Studio.
