Bag Needed!

Bag Needed!

Hey,
do any of you know if there is a bag that could fit my xone 42, 2x X1, soundcard and laptop? I’ve been looking on a lot of shops but couldn’t find anything that will surely be large enough  . I’m now using 2 regular laptop bagpacks, would like to find something a bit more “dj friendly”. Am I asking too much?
Should i look for a universal flightcase or something like that?

Cheers!

if i need to carry around more stuff i mostly use this one:

i can fit in my korg km404 mixer, vestax vci100, laptop stand, cables, macbook, audio interface, headphones and other things.

Magma Riot XL.

The only thing not to like is the cost. I use a spinner style under seat sized carry on to add wheels to this bag, as needed.

SAMSONITE… cheap hardshell travel suitcase, $1 bucks at a garage sale… the exact dimensions for my x1, a xone 62 and cables… just add padding

I plan on using my Timbuk2 Custom Messenger Bag to haul my F1, X1 & Z1 plus my laptop to a gig this month. Youre going to need something bigger if you dont want to break it down into two loads. If I had transportation Id do the messenger bag plus a Pelican hard case for the mixer and misc stuff.

Thanks for the quick replies and tips! Looks like my pockets are going to be empty in a very short time

not if you go with my hacky method lol

The Jetpack Prime should fit it in the main compartment not the mixer compartment its a great bag.

I have the magma riot XL and really like it. Defiantly worth it in my opinion and this is coming from someone that owns a few thousand dollars in good bags. It is made very well and in my opinion, warrants the price asked.

i would never put an expensive mixer in a bag… get a flight case. then throw your controls and laptop in a messenger bag or backpack.

To each their own. As long as I am the one doing the load in/out, I have no worries. I take reasonable care with my gear, but there are still some minor bumps along the way and through the years. Even a Rubbermaid bins with some foam bits are sufficient for my handling. YMMV.

Saddly the term “flight case” covers a WIDE range of build quality and protection.

If you are actually “flying” with the case as “checked baggage” there is Pelican, higher end SKB, ATA, and a handful of others that are “good.” I would not trust anything less to baggage handlers.

I would have no hesitation in modding one of these for a decent gear bag:

(I think FreQ Nasty used to do it, actually…)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You guys are amazing

Hardware question, hardware forum.

I have a salvaged gas-fitter’s toolbox (Its like a big wheeled suitcase but I think it could survive a nuke) that I gutted out and replaced with flight case foam for my gear. I joke that it’d be perfect for boiler room sets…

:unamused: … lol
