Best controller available

Just wondering what everyone’s opinion is on the best controller out. It doesn’t matter whether it’s 2 deck or 4 deck traktor or serato. Id like to see people even go as far for instance to include standalone mixers like a Z2 that doesn’t require tt’s

I’d say:

-ddj-sx and vci400 for serato
-ableton push for live
-traktor s4 + f1 + x1 for traktor
-EKS otus RAWs + mixer for other software

Kinda comes down to:

  • matter of preference (mixing style)
  • budget
  • the software you want to control (debatable)
  • what you can fit (size/weight)

haha by all means if you can direct me to where this thread is already started then help a brother out

There’s no such thing. It’s like saying whats the best car ever made? It all depends on the situation. Sure, for a rockstar a Rolls Royce is an amazing tool, but if you’re a farmer, you’re going to need a Land Rover since the Rolls Royce won’t do too well on your farm land.

Pick the tool you need for the job. I have my member firmly jammed in Traktor’s ass hole (Although sometimes it feels like the other way around) and after picking up an F1, the S4 was, to me a logical progression, and after three weeks of use it is indeed an absolutely phenomenal controller. For me.

I like the S2 for sound quality, size portability, available mappings and the fact I use traktor.

Wouldn’t swap it for any other controller on the market… maybe a VCI 400 EGE but even then that feels a bit cluttered to me.

But preferably i like to use X1, Audio 10, external mixer and, but not essential, TTs… So maybe the X1 is my favorite controller

Livid CNTRL:R. Probably the best quality peace out there.

X1

yep

uh huh

Nope you’re all wrong

NS7 mk2

game over lolz

^what he said

Personally I would love to be able to have a External Mixer and Two X1s

Had this setup except only one X1, it was great until i moved to timecode.

2 casette players and a 2 channel mixer

BOSS

As predictable as this response is, most review sites agree with me

Does that thing really have encoders for the FX section?
