BEST XLR's

BEST XLR’s

Whats the best brand and quality XLR wires??? Was looking into the moster dj xlr’s but its a pair that come attached together and can u splitthem apart??

Don’t buy Monster cables there a complete waste of money.

Look for something with Neutrik XLRs on the ends and a high grade cable, i’d recommend Van Damme or similar.

If you need a few it would be worth buying a spool of cable and some XLR plugs and sockets and making your own.

Neutrik, Digiflex are the classic. There’s several class of Digiflex one, all good.

Choose a decent one and always have a spare instead of only one twice++ time the price.

these are decent Analysis Plus Cables. Best value per meter for audio cable

thank you all!! gonna check them out!.. now question.. balanced or un-balanced? these are for my speakers

meh a bit cheap and will work well only if you’re using them with a bag of Brilliant Pebbles

XLR to XLR are automatically balanced UNLESS specified.

Anything with neutrik connectors.

XLRs are more or less XLRs.

I would just buy monoprice.

Not strictly true, what you would usually call a XLR is just a three pin connection. It carries balanced, unbalanced, stereo, or whatever you want it to carry.

As long as the three cores are separate (and it would be a pretty shoddy XLR 3 cable if they weren’t) it will of course carry a balanced signal, but the fact it is balanced is a property of the generating equipment, not the cable.

I know, I just wanted to stay away of the “technical” details.

Canare with Neutrik connectors.

Canare cables coil better than anything else I’ve used.

Monster cable isn’t worthy of cleaning my asshole.

+1

I buy Neutrik ends and bulk cable and make my own. It is simple to do, and gives me a LOT of confidence when it comes to dealing with issues in the field.

Stagecraft connectors are also good quality.

I did an install for someone who purchased a bunch of bulk xlr cables from Orange County Speakers. These were the GLS brand (???). The quality was reasonable for the $, and the xlr ends were also reasonable. I don’t know how they would hold up on the road…but for a perm (or semi-perm) install, these were a good value. http://www.speakerrepair.com/
