Blacklisted Dance Songs

hahahahaha

I don’t go to clubs at the shore. I’d rather be forced to watch a marathon of Daisy of Love a la Clockwork Orange style.

And besides, I don’t know if they’d let me in with my cut up suit pants, knee high combat boots and my favorite Chemlab t-shirt that says “Fuck Art, Let’s Kill” in. MIght not go over very well

But I still hear it in fucking goth clubs and it makes me so angry.

saw Diplo not too long ago and he played “The Launch”, and he didn’t bother to find some fresh way to bring it in, lol. pure cheese if you ask me, but the place was full of hipsters and they loved it…

You hear Benny Bennasi - Satisfaction in Goth clubs ?
Really, if i went to a Goth club and heard that id feel short-changed.

Why you hating on basshunter?!

They arent goth clubs per say. More of a dance club that plays industrial, terror EBM, and of course dance music (techno, house, ect), so its a club with a visual theme of goth, but still a dance party when you get right down to it.

they were being “ironic” i expect.

when the revolution comes, basshunter will be first up against teh wall..

Whoa! thaats a vision. F the shore “bro” haha.

Hear ye, hear ye!

There was no reason to create 7 new versions of “daddy dj”.

Still… ugh, I just hate that song.

+1

How about anything by 2Unlimited

Of all the tracks listed in this thread (some of which are actually really good just over played) and you ask me why im hating on Basshunter

I would have though that it was obvious ?

“TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO”

yeah, i suppose he was being clever. but the laugh is over after the first minute…i could have been more on his side if he teased it and then got on to some cool tunage…

I know its not tekno but…

LMFAO - Im In Miami, L.A. or whatever Remix

btw…i hate to say it but I play it on a regular basis du2 taking request where I play.

paul kalkbrenner - sky and sand (i love it but can´t listen to it anymore at parties)

Sandstrom makes my ears bleed whenever I hear it in another car, but if your playing a school party it will probably go off.

DJ’s are the ones who will make the “that track is too played out to be cool call” not your audience.

So you are you trying to impress the most?

Not playing played out tunes is important if you want to futher your career as a DJ by impressing someone at the gig, but if its not that sorta gig its totally irrelavant.

At least thats how it goes down in my scene

First and foremost, as if anyone actually needed to mention it after that millenium new year’s eve party we all went to and couldn’t f’ing stand:

Daft Punk - One More Time

This thread is urging me to get my ass in gear and start playing out before my favorite disco tracks get beaten into the ground (if they haven’t already):

Soulwax - NY Excuse (Night version)
D.I.M. - Is You
Soulwax remix of Justice - Phantom Pt. 2
Cicada - Same Old Scene (remix)

dnb that should be blacklisted immediately:
Dillinja - Twist 'em out (once Sasha Baron Cohen makes it a cliche, it’s time to let it go)
Tarantula
Concord Dawn - Morning Light
Spor - Outbroken

OT: Tracks I’ll play forever, no matter what anyone says:

Q Project - Champion Sound (Total Science remix)
Dom+Roland - Can’t Punish Me
Prodigy - Diesel Power
Crystal Method - High Roller
Hieroglyphics - At the Helm (Life’s a Blast)
LTJ Bukem - Atlantis (I Need You)
Blame - Hologram
PFM - Danny’s Song

You know…you’re all DJ’s.

Far be it from me to tell you to understand genres…but that’s neither here not there.

The bottom line is this: you play for people. If the people want to hear something, and an owner is paying you, you’ll play it. Noone here is above ‘playing for the crowd’.

This thread is just an outlet for you to bitch about music you don’t like. Lame.

buzzkill.
