Broadcasting with Traktor
Can anyone point me to a guide for broadcasting a stream using Traktor/Icecast?
hahahahahaha this is superb!!! in all seriousness though…its a pain in the ass…anyways back to crying on the floor…
i wouldnt stream out using traktor (dosent it only stream in org vorbis ? ) , i use ladiocast (mac only) so i use my macbook + T2 into mixer then run the master output into my mac mini and broadcast out thru ladiocast , intergrates perfectly with icecast and the stream is much more reliable
ladiocast is free as well
sam audio / mairlist are good proper radio software packages for pc which can do a number of things and there are a number of stream only programs available i assume.

I think the OP is on PC. If not you need Nicecast.
I prefer BUTT to nicecast, its very simple and free.
I may check out some of these other options to Nicecast. Do any of them auto update using Traktor’s track names?
not sure, as i last used it with iTunes, and even then i was b/casting with an analogue input so no chance of sending the tracklisting
I dj on the mac and output my mixer into my other computer, set up webcam and you have a home video setup !
Setup a stream acct on ustream or livestream … split your audio out to the line in on another pc … stream enabled … webcam optional … found this the easiest method rather than trying to setup traktor … also you can record the streams with audio and visual.
