Buying Turntables

Buying Turntables

Hello! I am currently thinking about purchasing a pair of Pioneer PLX-500 Turntables.
My Current set up is a Traktor Z2 and X1, this may be a silly question but are the PLX-500’ compatible with Traktor scratch pro and it control vinyl?
Thanks in advance!

All turntables will be compatible, but I do not recommend the PLX-500’s. Spend the extra $100 and get a pair of Audio Technica ATLP 1240’s. You will be way happier and have a product you will never need to upgrade from.

Why do you suggest Audio Technica ATLP1240? How about plx-1000?

Thanks!

The PLX 500 is not a very good DJ turntable, next to no torque and picks up feedback very easily by just touching the turntable while it’s playing.

The PLX1000 is okay, but a tad overpriced compared to its feature set.

They’re simply better turntables. The Pioneer logo commands the price, not the quality, and with regard to turntables at least there are far better options than Pioneer out there.

thanks guys! As the price here is different, I will search a little more.

You would be better buying just one turntable that will last you (Technics, etc…) rather than spending all on two low budget options.

You can pick up a pair of Technics 1200s for $750.
I see them going for that price all day long on Craigslist, EBay, Facebook Groups, etc.
Get a pair of 1200s…will save you in the long run.

Is that including shipping? :stuck_out_tongue:

The last pair of 1210’s I sold, I got $1300 for the pair with local pickup.

The stokyo refurbs sell for $800 each, if you want a warranty.

hi , if i can pioneer is not the best price for same shit ,for sure if you can bye a pair of technics it’s the best way but you can found for 200€ /unit a pair of turntables good to practice like audio technica bst pr4,5 etc with same spec tech to the plx 1000 ,i sold my pair of technics in 2011 600€ the two and bye refurbished bst pr 4,5 X 3 with same money and they ‘re better to practice than the technics
hight torq
pitch+10/20/50
instant start stop like cdj
etc

the best is to test few minutes ago on turntables to know if you njoy it or not
