Hi guys, just a quick 1 ive just upgraded my set up with a vinyl turntable but when im mixing the channel which my turntables on i can only hear the sound from the turntable in my left ear cup. I can still hear my cdjs in both cups, just wondering if this is normal or does anyone know how to fix it? i cant understand why i can only hear it out of 1 earcup.
I’m still not convinced. Play your turntable with only the white RCA in, then play with only the red RCA. If you have noise coming from each RCA you should check how your cueing is set up on the mixer but I really think it might be an RCA issue.

Agreed. All the way in mate
[/quote] i can assure you guys that its ‘all the way in’ haha and the rca’s are in fine too its a brand new turntable. I did use a friends turntable on my mixer a few weeks ago and again it was the same i could only cue in 1 ear which makes me think its the mixer but then again i can cue cdjs in both ears fine so it doesnt make sense.
disconnect everything from the mixer and start over… plug the turntable in first, and test. then cdj’s and test so-on. that should eliminate some of the problems and help us figure out what it is… also try different channels. worse comes to worse a phono preamp may fix the problem.
oh and test the sound in mono if your mixer allows that
Tried all of those tried every channel still the same but as i said the cdjs work fine through both ears which doesnt make sense. has nobody experienced this or heard of this happening before?
