Can’t get the MIDI FIGTHER 3d to play Remix Decks in Traktor /MAPPING
Hi,
I want to use the midi figther 3d to play remix decks in traktor but I’ve failed to find the correct mapping.
Anyone has one that works well to do this?
best regards,
Carla
Hey Carla,
You don’t have to use any midi mapping to control the Remix Decks with your 3D. Midifighter has a special type of firmware which can trigger samples via HID protocol.
All information about setting this up can be found in the MF3D support page.
Just got my MIDI Fighter 3D and had a few questions just to wrap my head around this ‘ecosystem’. I think I understand but would like confirmation.
Since Traktor 2.6, is the benefit of the Remix Deck Firmware (HID) simply the fact that you don’t need to map anything and save a bank? Conversely I’d imagine you could map the remix deck cells to MIDI without the Remix Deck firmware since Traktor 2.6?
Also, are there any issues/side effects to using the Remix Deck firmware whilst controlling Ableton? I’d imagine only that you’d lose one side button (the HID switch).
Sorry, noobish yes, but helping me with these answers will speed things up tremendously for me.
wanted to post a possibly related solution to a problem I had.
When I updated to 2.8, on Windows 7, the remix HID functionality in traktor broke. Contacted support and was told to flash MF3D with the Mac/OSX firmware. Worked like a charm (yes on Windows 7).
