CDJ-2000NXS firmware on regular 2000mk1?

Just wondering, i searched a bit around the net and i haven’t found any attempts/ ideas about trying to recode the 2000nxs firmware for the 2000 to get features such as the waveform zoom?
Since i haven’t found any teardowns of neither the 2000 nor the NXS, and since they look the same,i’ll assume the internals too (apart from the better lcd and maybe the ethernet connectivity) are practically the same.

I don’t personally own any 2000s, so i’m just curious if anyone ever thought about it,

Yeah i know that, but no one even tried? That seems kinda weird..
And yes, i do realize we’re in not-so-legal territory here..

You can try all you want, but firmware updates are programmed to load only for specific models. Like I said, it’s not possible.

Just like canon updates firmwares for the 7d are meant for the 7d only and not the 600d. Yet some people worked on it and found a way to unlock all features of the 7d on the 600d..

Pioneer provide full exploded diagrams of their hardware on their replacement parts site.

I’m talking about the electronics inside. CPU model number, for example.
