CDJ to vinyl switch?!

One important reason I’d only recommend Technics turntables is the strong resale demand and value.

If you find that vinyl is simply not for you, it’s always going to be easy to sell on a pair of Technics - there’s huge demand and the prices are only going to go up!

I made the mistake of buying a pair of Geminis as my first decks (now have 1210s) and now just can’t sell them for even half what I paid for them!

Vestax’s also have great resale value

Not really, I regularly see 2000s and D3s selling on eBay for under £100 each.

Of course, that means you can BUY them nice and cheap too, though…

I haven’t seen 2000’s/3000’s cheap in the Netherlands! They seem to go for about the same/little less than Technics SL1200MK2 around here.

Might be a case of limited supply in the Netherlands keeping the prices firm?

I paid around £180 here in the UK for my pair of PDX2000mk2s and I even got some vinyl with that! I paid comfortably more than that for each of my 1210s.

It’s great from a buyers point of view though as the PDXs are fantastic decks and every bit the equal of the 1210- and it doesn’t really matter if they are only worth £200 when you come to sell them if you only paid £200 to buy them in the first place!
