Classic Trance Mix Train Part Two
I am looking for three good men or women to make a Trance Classics mixtrain. The first one was pretty solid and fun to do. If you want to know what a mixtrain is all about please head over here:
Classic Trance Mix Train Part Two

Well, I’ve never actually tried mixing trance, but I’ve got a bunch of classic 90’s trance on vinyl and really like some of the stuff from that era. So you can count me in if you can’t find enough people, and if you do, you can put me as an alternate.
what’s the flavor?
Likely mostly uplifting/progressive stuff from the mid/late 90’s. I have yet to go through all the records as it’s stuff I got from a retiring DJ as I was starting my collection. Lots of Hooj Choons stuff as well as a number of digital files from Oakenfold mix CDs in the 90’s.
I know tons of classic trance, I grew up when it was massive and I hated it, and now I love it. Weird how tastes change! But I’ll jump aboard the mix train!
you’re in
I’d be up for dusting off some trance oldies ![]()
Haha - this is worth popping my head up for - count me in keithybabes if there’s a spot ![]()
If there’s still a spot i’m in for sure, I have an old YORK vinyl that needs to be dusted off
been wanting to play “Reachers of Civilization” for a while!!
So how are we going to about this? Each record half an hour and send it to you to patch together in a DAW?
I’d be down, but I don’t really listen to older trance
Most of my trance tracks are 2012+
Following this with interest. Looking forward to hearing the finished product.
Me too. I won’t jump in, my trance tracks are also from late 90, mid 00 but looking forward to hear the mix ![]()
so can we do six hours and get it posted somewhere?

First one sends a wav file via dropbox to the second and the second tacks his 30 minutes on…sends a wav file to third…and so on…
We can just cut the ends of the wav files and piece it together…but i definitely think we need to mix into each others mix…
order?
I’ve got a pro account on soundcloud that I could setup private links if need be. Not sure how much they’ll allow space wise for a given upload. A 6 hour wav file would be huge.
the final mix is put through some compression and post mix magic then made into a 320 mp3…
so we can do six hours?..
we need to sort the order…
I’m all for mixing into each other, but the last person having to download a 5 hour WAV file is a bit extreme isn’t it?
Also, I’ll go anywhere but first ![]()
