i asked santa for a cue master but all i got was this stupid sweater.
That is bad ass. No idea he had one, where’d you learn that?
I saw it here on DJTT somewhere recently but I cannot seem to find it now.

Yeah…I’ve used arcade machines before. I know what they feel like. And I really can’t understand why you’d want to use them in a DJ set. I also can’t really figure out why you need that many more buttons. I always run out of knobs/encoders first on any piece of gear I want to map.
I’m obviously not the person they’re aimed at, since I kinda think that the IG mapping is–at best–a neat gimmick. And I think those shitty plastic buttons on the VCI-100 are perfectly usable.
But, I’m not going to lie. At one point, I wrote off the entire DJTT site (and forum) as a place for hipster wankers and noobs because of that thing. The only reason I stuck around was to see how long I could walk that line between being helpful (as best I can) and trolling everything I thought this place was about. I found that there was a lot of information and good people here, but…the MF has a very specific appeal. For those it doesn’t appeal to…I think it’s a huge turnoff.
Ummm… I’d used arcade buttons before i put em in my vci too… But until you’ve used em for djing you haven’t really used em ![]()
They’re better than the buttons on a CDJ for starters, more responsive.
TBH I was on this site a few years ago and saw some of the first mods and it was kind of raw and cool. Hacking the arcade buttons into the vci was bold so i don’t see it as so gimicky, more pioneering.
