Connect 2 Block Rockers?

Connect 2 Block Rockers?

I am very new to sound systems so asking for a bit of help. I want to connect two blocker rockers (which are essentially glorified boom boxes) and trying to figure out how for 2 different scenarios. They have 1 aux and 1 1/4" input. Input is in mono.

  1. Simple Ipod. There is this instructable on just using a y splitter. Though something tells me that would cut the power, quality, or cause some sort of danger on limitations when raising the volume of the speakers.

Another solution is using a small amp?

  1. Use my traktor kontrol s4. Have the main go to each speaker for mono. But what if I want it to be in stereo?

Why not just grab say a 15" main and a cheap 12"powered sub… Would likely be in business for under 800

800 is a bit out of my budget. Thinking more of $150. It is not for gigs, just a little car tailgate stage for desert parties. These speakers are pretty economical since they are battery powered saving the need to buy an inverter and deep cycle battery.

It won’t be mono because one is getting the left input and one is getting the right input. Stereo sound.

That instructable is is the correct way to use a splitter. Those speakers look like they are self powered and won’t rely on the ipod to do the amplifying of the signal.

An amp is not needed if the speakers are self powered.

You can use the S4 to send signal to the two speakers. Just buy the proper connections.

Maybe he already has the Block Rockers ?

Maybe he requires a battery powered setup ?

Just sayin’

I run 2 alto 15" with an alto 15" sub and a ev 12" sub and I can rock 300+ the subs make all the difference Id like to have 2 18" subs to go along with it as the mids are well covered with 2 15"s

Good point didn’t look at that way I was just more so trying to sway from purchasing it expecting it to be more then it is…

Something like this but with a female jack and then run a rca to 1/8 out of s4 and a 1/8 3ft extension cable to each one on the auxiliary input

Or something like this

and if you only have 1/8 in then a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter keep in mind though since this is unbalanced you’ll wanna limit cable length to under 6ft optimally
