Controllerism videos (?)

Controllerism videos (?)

(First post, hihi! I am a complete newbie in the realm of DJ’ing and controllers, though have been playing and writing music for ~20 years in the form of guitar and bass. I’ve recently decided to go down the traktor road in hopes to get into the remix world, if only for myself @ home for now  The new S4 is on my list of things to buy in the next month or so, as it seems to be a fairly well rounded ‘all in one’ solution good for starting out…)

I did search the forum but didn’t find any obvious collections here, so figured I would start a thread asking for : videos of ‘controllerism’. A youtube search finds a few things, mostly good stuff by DJTT.

Some that I’ve run across with obvious searches :

Moldover

Ean Golden

EDIT :

Shiftee:

Rafik

Do share!

search for rafik and shiftee native instruments vids

also, why tau as screen name? you a 40k gamer?

Good thread. Don’t recall seeing a good all in one place for controllerism videos.

Will do, thanks! I’ve seen the Shiftee NI stuff, should have linked them :\

edit linked in OT a couple examples.

(also : Tau - Wikipedia , but mostly as my first name is todd, but --t works much better for me than --todd )

–t

oh… makes sense

resident djtt lurker Zac Kyoti throwin down

More like kicking ass and taking names!!

There’s 15 minutes of video that should be taught in school. Amazing stuff, quite stunning.

You guys are making my day!

Ive never seen those videos that Drew posted before.
Totally blown me away especially the first one.

Obvioulsy im a massive lover of shiftees stuff and Rafik but the more stripped back atmospherics of the above the AKD video is stunning…

I’ll be honest, I’ve never felt so inadequate after watching those vids. I feel exhilarated that I’ve seen them, but sad knowing I’ll never reach that kind of standard if I practise from now until I die.

Seriously?

Damn bro!

They wicked innit?

Both of these were awesome! Thanks for sharing?

I’m pretty sure i discovered those from a link on here at some point…

No wait i just remembered, i googled them after seeing this flyer.

my guess is he is using ableton live and not traktor to do this set? i really should invest in a maschine or that apc 40 hes using and learn to use ableton

My thread has wings!

Can one of you tell me what equipment is in use in this video, specifically the bottom part of the frame ?

A VCI-100 at the top, and an APC 40 at the bottom.

And i might be mistaken, but i’m pretty sure he’s using traktor and ableton.
