haha yay! tell me what u think about it after u saw it

Keep away from phasers

hahah i thought it would be a bit boring if i would just play the tracks so yea i started messing around xD

You need to work a lot on your track selection, I’m sure the veldt is in Amajor and ghosts n stuff is in A#major meaning they REALLY REALLY clash.

Most important thing is track selection, also try and focus more on nice sounding mixes before adding shit loads of effects.

yea this whole DJ thing is sort of new to me :stuck_out_tongue: never really got deep into DJ’ing except from now deffinatly gonna search more information about that but thanks alot for the tips

btw how do u call that? so i can search up info “song key”? (im such a newb) haha :stuck_out_tongue:

What you’re looking for is called the key, as he said. If you don’t have a musical background, the camelot wheel(below) might be simpler for you to understand. Basically, songs are written in a certain key, and certain keys sound good together, certain combinations sound like crap. These aren’t always steadfast rules, and you can definitely mix without using the system, but it makes the blends much smoother, and allows you to control the energy on the dance floor a little better. This website actually has a great article on mixing in key, and the various softwares you can use to analyze key, here. Read that, it should help you get a basic idea of what he’s talking about.

Camelot Wheel:

Here’s a list of other possible mixes that work, other than keys next to each other on the wheel:

Besides that, basically what other people said, look around and work on clean sounding mixes first, then learn effects.

OP look up mixed in key/rapid evolution. Theyre softwares that tell you the key of your music, also look up the camelot key system which is they key system both softwares use and itll explain to you how to mix harmonically

hehehe i opened a thread in the general forum and found out its called harmonic mixing and also those softwares but hey thanks anyways
