Creating a new mod from a midi keyboard.

I have a old crappy midi keyboard from casio that i am thinking of modding to work in traktor, the thing is that it is huge and has built in speakers, crappy screen etc. is there a chance i coud take it apart and create a smaller, more compact and idealized one?

I’ve done a similar project before, it can be a pain in the ass, but it’s cheap as hell.
