maybe the bass could need a little more variation. also the chopped up vocals could use some more variation. i also would either make the first main part shorter or add more of the elements used in the second main part as theyre real good.
good job man. would love to hear some feedback on my latest tune also!
Thanks guys It’s really hard to get something that sounds simple yet has movement to it. Im afraid to change it up too much so that it loses what I already have. It’s really making me crazy
OK dude try adding some more perc at 01:57, you did it after the break but pulling the same loop for that long could be dangerous…
Try adding a sample shaker on top of the hi hat (kick - hat+shaker - snare - hat+shaker-kick) or try an entire shaker loop
You could also try changing up the brwwmmmmm bass you’ve layerer with the kick, instead of using the same note all the way through you could make it (listen to it at the same time)
D… D- E… E— D… D… C…
I dunno, I don’t wanna make dinner so I’m babbling here instead
i like that version better. thing is, is would really put more work into the chopped vocals since they stay basicly the same the whole track and get somewhat annoying in 6 minutes. i really like them but they need more variation and or to go out and in more!
I’m not sure how much more I can vary it without it getting jumbled. Although, I agree there needs to be a break. Maybe during the breakdown/build up. I’ll try it and let you guys know. Thanks for helping.
now i like this version even better then the ones before. instead of what you made,
i would have the voice build up in the first 1/4 of the main part then be fully there for 1/4, build down for 1/4 and disappear in the last quarter. therefore i would start with the full vocal after the breakdown in the 2nd main part. i look at the part after the big breakdown as the climax of the song. songs that dont climax or at least repeat the climax after the big breakdown are getting mixed out during their breakdown in my sets and i feel like thats the proper way to mix them as nobody likes dancing to outros.
i am really enjoying your work. i wondered why that house tune gets me so going and then quickly noticed the breakbeat in it. theres not many 2step producers anymore, aren’t there?
Haha yeah man! I was listening to the streets a lot and some more experimental dubstep lately so I decided to go with this. I like it because my favorite genres used to be house and dubstep and this sort of lies in the middle.
