ddm 4000 output blowout probelms

I have been using my ddm 4000 for the past 6 months, in the last few days I will be playing inside traktor and then all the volumes will turn up as loud as they go , basically the mixer goes midi crazy then pushes all sounds out past the reds, its really frustrating, could this be the mixer, the sound card? I am using an audio 8. Has anyone experienced something similar?

you’re routing the Audio8 into each channel on the ddm4000 right?
so if you’re mixing externally, make sure:

channel out from audio8: Line In on DDM4000: Make sure Square push button by the inputs is also set to Line.

Are you doing anything specific when it happens?

What DJ Asand said, make sure all of the input buttons are pretty appropriately. I have been using the DDM4000 since it came out and it has worked beautifully for me. Try running it without the Audio 8 DJ, just pure RCA cables hooked to mp3 player and see if everything works good then. If it is only a software issue of the DDM4000, you can always reload the drivers and reset the settings on it. One thing I have noticed is that every once and while the output of a computer’s software, such as iTunes to the NI soundcards, all of sudden gets really distorted and I have to reset it, but that is when only running through one channel.
